Born in Seoul, Jungha Suh brings together rigorous musical training and a lasting interest in the humanities. After studying philosophy and linguistics at Korea University, she devoted herself fully to music, earning a Master of Music at Ewha Womans University, where she also served as an assistant in the music department.

Her orchestral career in Korea includes membership of the Seoul Symphony Orchestra and the Mostly Philharmonic Orchestra. Alongside a wide range of chamber music projects, this orchestral experience has helped shape her musical identity.

Her path has taken her to international festivals and musical gatherings in the United States, Germany and Spain. She attended the Indiana Summer Music Festival as a visiting scholar and took part in the Saarburg Festival and the Tenerife International Music Festival. A prizewinner in Korea and France, she received third prizes at both the Korea Flute Association competition and the Les Clés d’Or international competition.

Seeking to deepen her work as a performer, she continued her studies in France. At the École Normale de Musique de Paris, she studied with Mihi Kim and earned the Diplôme supérieur de concertiste, an advanced concert performance diploma.

Chamber music has long been at the heart of her practice. She develops collaborative projects and has helped establish several ensembles, including the Asher Flute Ensemble and the Quatuor Quetzal. This spirit of sharing is central to both her performing and her teaching.

Now based in France, she divides her time between teaching, chamber music and concert projects. Her artistic approach draws on her orchestral experience, a search for deeply expressive playing and the pleasure of musical dialogue.
